I intend to add a background painting to this piece. Among thousands of sculptures, how can I make this ordinary looking figure more noticeable? I am not sure if a background image will work, but it will not hurt to try it.
I was worried that this first standing figure would crack during the kiln firings. It was a relief to find out only a hairline crack formed on one of the ankles. It was easy to fix it.

My hiker friend commissioned me to make a little buddha with a backpack, a pole, hiking boots, a hat, and a bird. Hope this will make her smile.
