May this image generate warmth within! We need that, especially when it's bitter cold outside.
This piece was modeled after a friend who was, in my view, like the sacred mountain where monarch butterflies gather from all over the North American Continent. When I mentioned this to her, she did not see herself in it. People around her could easily perceive her delightful qualities, but her heart was too humble to acknowledge it. This piece is to celebrate the genuine beauty like hers, and I believe we all could attain it. Even if we age and loose our outer attractiveness, it will continue to shine. I strive to become like her.

Thank you Iva for the kind comment. I fired this piece to ∆2. I was worried of warping, but the clay maintained its integrity. If you want to try, I have ∆2 cones you could use in your kiln.
